Friendship Place, Inc. is a non-profit social, educational, and recreational drop-in center for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. It is a place to reach out and make a difference to people with severe and persistent mental illness, and encourage them to be more active, contributing members of our community.
Mission Statment: To encourages adults with mental illnesses to live well by fostering an environment that provides members with peer support, advocacy, and education.
Who can be a member of Friendship Place, and how does one join?
- A person needs to have a diagnosis of a Chronic Mental Illness.
- An Admission Form needs to be filled out and documentation needs to be provided, showing that the person is receiving ongoing services for their mental illness.
- A membership card will be issued upon completion of the Admission Form.
