What We Do

Friendship Place, Inc. is a  non-profit social, educational, and recreational drop-in center for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. It is a place to reach out and make a difference to people with severe and persistent mental illness, and encourage them to be more active, contributing members of our community.

Mission Statment: To encourages adults with mental illnesses to live well by fostering an environment that provides members with peer support, advocacy, and education.

Who can be a member of Friendship Place, and how does one join?

  1. A person needs to have a diagnosis of a Chronic Mental Illness.
  2. An Admission Form needs to be filled out and documentation needs to be provided, showing that the person is receiving ongoing services for their mental illness.
  3. A membership card will be issued upon completion of the Admission Form.
