Fox Valley Humane Association

Who We Are

The Fox Valley Humane Association is a full-service, state-of-the-art animal shelter and resource center, serving thousands of people and their pets each year. FVHA works 24/7 to see that no animal need in the Fox Valley goes unmet.

  • FVHA cares for nearly 5,000 animals each year.
  • In 2011, we placed 100 percent of our adoptable dogs in homes for the eighth year in a row; 99% of our adoptable cats went to homes.
  • We provide contracted animal control services for more than 30 area municipalities, providing 24/7 assistance to law enforcement for stray, neglected, abused and injured animals.
  • FVHA does not receive any county, state or federal funding, United Way money, or support from national humane organizations. We are a locally-based charitable organization that raises its entire budget through donations, fundraisers, corporate support, adoption fees, and contractual agreements.
